“CAROLINE AT MIDNIGHT”  Director: Scott McGinnis. Cast: Tim Daly, Mia Sara, Virginia Madsen, Judd Nelson.

“CAROLINE AT MIDNIGHT” REVIEWS:

From David Parkinson-Radio Times

This thriller has the dual advantage of a nail biting script by Travis Rink, and a splendid cast to make the endless twists and turns seem totally convincing. What with phone calls from dead girlfriends, drug dealing cops and romances with terrified wives, director Scott McGinnis’s film never lets up for a second, right down to its unexpected ending. Mia Sara stands out in a cast that also boasts Virginia Madsen and Tim Daly.

From Martin & Porter’s Video Guide (4 STAR RATING)

Here’s a little thriller that really works. Tim Daly is a journalist who receives a phone call from a deceased girlfriend, and finds himself involved with the frightened wife of a dirty cop who may have been responsible for the girlfriend’s death. Travis Rink’s script is logical all the way to its surprising finish, and each character behaves credibly, if not always intelligently.

“UNFAITHFUL”  (aka “IN THE HEAT OF PASSION 2”)  Director: Catherine Cyran. Cast: Barry Bostwick, Lesley-Anne- Down, Teresa Hill.

“UNFAITHFUL” REVIEWS:

From Doug Pratt’s DVD Laser.com

Barry Bostwick portrays a man who takes up a little too quickly with his wife's step-daughter after a fatal accident frees him of his marriage in this “Diabolique” style thriller. There are some real surprises here, and fans will enjoy the twists and abundant eroticism.

From TVGUIDE.COM

Bostwick and Down give the dialogue an acrid spin, while young Teresa Hill is frisky enough to merit attention, accessorizing her world-weary-at-19 delivery with a suitably withering stare and the motto, "Rules are for scaredy-cats." Adequately spry in its plot figure-eights, and enjoyably nasty in tone, UNFAITHFUL” displays a marked playfulness and sense of humor about itself, which comes as a breath of fresh air in the oppressively steamy realm of thrillers.

"LOLA'S GAME"  Director: Tim Andrews. Cast: Elise Muller, Doug Jeffery.
